Protect your private information by not entering any identifiable information into the chatbots or forms. The generative AI returns information obtained from the BC Health files in response to input in the chatbot, which is “access only,” and reproduction is not permitted without written permission. To request permission, please complete the Copyright Permission Request Form.

If you want to access the information as it is published by BC Health Files, you may ask the chatbot for the original source “as is”. Information produced by AI on this site only applies to the residents of British Columbia.

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect data entered into chatbots and forms, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam

Visitor provided personal information

If you enter information into the forms or chatbots on this website, guardrails are in place to scrub the data to prevent inadvertent publication of personal information, but this is not guaranteed. To prevent private information from being published on this website, please do not input any personal health information.

You may opt in to sharing information in cookies. These cookies will last for one year. If you do not agree to the use of cookies, some functionality of the AI chats and forms will be lost.

How long we retain your data

We retain your data for as long as required by law. Some data may be retained for up to 14 years, while other data will be deleted immediately after use.

Website administrators, employees and contractors of Wise Eats can also see and edit that information. You can request that your account be deleted if you have not received any services from Wise Eats, and we have no legal obligation to retain your information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account with us, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please note that we do not retain chatbot data for more than 1 year and may delete it sooner if space is constrained.

Where we send your data

If you leave your email in the chatbots or forms, we will send it to Practice Better and create an unnamed account. We also use your email to link to various other platforms to enhance your experience with Wise Eats. We cannot guarantee that data will not be breached, given the rapid changes in technology. We recommend that you do not use an email that you use for banking or identification. If leaving any email connected to you is a concern, leaving your email on this website is entirely optional.
